Case review and quotes

Fees are quoted case by case after intake, document review, and scope confirmation.

LegalExpt does not use one public price list for every file. Scope, urgency, document volume, filing stage, deadlines, and whether counsel review is needed all affect the quote.

What happens first: submit the intake that matches the matter, upload the key documents you already have, and LegalExpt can respond with next steps or a scoped quote. Government filing fees, court fees, taxes, title-insurance premiums, disbursements, fines, and legal representation charges are separate unless a written quote says otherwise.
How quotes are set

The quote depends on the file, not just the service label.

Two real-estate files or two defence files can take very different amounts of time. LegalExpt reviews the facts, deadlines, file condition, and document volume before confirming scope.

Scope

What work is actually needed?

Quotes change depending on whether the job is intake-only, document sorting, chronology work, drafting support, exhibit prep, filing readiness, or a combination of tasks.

Urgency

How close is the deadline?

Same-day, next-day, and short-turnaround files usually take a different workflow than routine planning files.

Volume

How much material is in the file?

Quotes often depend on page count, number of documents, quality of scans, and whether the file needs cleanup before it can be worked on.

Handoff

Will a lawyer or paralegal review it next?

Some files need a handoff-ready summary, chronology, checklist, or document package so counsel can step in efficiently.

Best way to request a quote

Use the intake that matches the matter.

That makes the quote faster and more accurate because the form already asks for the dates, parties, documents, and facts that matter for that lane.

Real estate

Use the dedicated real-estate intake for purchase, sale, refinance, and title-transfer support.

Traffic tickets

Use the traffic-ticket intake for offence notices, summons matters, disclosure planning, and hearing prep support.

Claims and disputes

Use the claim, defence, or dispute intake for the parties, dates, allegation summary, and supporting records.

Law firms

Use the law-firm intake for appendices, exhibits, chronologies, affidavits, filing readiness, or overflow workflow support.

What to send

The fastest quotes usually include these details.

For public matters

  • Who the parties are
  • What happened, when, and where
  • Any deadline, hearing date, or service date
  • The key documents you already have
  • The result you are trying to achieve

For law firms

  • Style of cause or internal file reference
  • Due date and court / tribunal
  • Approximate document volume
  • What output is needed back from LegalExpt
  • Whether the work is one-time, urgent, or ongoing overflow support

What the quote will clarify

  • What LegalExpt will do
  • What is not included
  • Expected turnaround
  • Whether more documents are needed
  • Whether the file should be escalated to a lawyer or paralegal
