- Offence date, response deadline, and court location recorded
- Whether the matter is a standard offence notice, summons, or camera ticket confirmed

2. Process dates
- Date you received the ticket
- Date you responded or plan to respond
- Any early-resolution or trial date received
- Any missed date, conviction date, or notice of fine date
Evidence
3. What to gather
- Photos of signs, lane markings, roadway, lighting, and sight lines
- Dashcam or phone video if available
- Witness names and contact information
- Any tow, collision, or insurance records if the charge followed an incident
Court file
4. Court and disclosure
- Notice of trial or early-resolution notice saved
- Disclosure request sent or planned
- Officer notes, manuals, or evidence package received and organized
- Questions or missing items listed for follow-up
Hearing prep
5. What to organize before court or consultation
- Short timeline of what happened
- Main points you want to raise or ask about
- Copies of every notice and communication
- List of urgent concerns: suspension, insurance, work driving, or collision issues
Escalation
6. Refer fast if any of these apply
- Careless driving, stunt driving, suspended, fail to remain, no insurance, or multi-charge file
- Collision with injuries or vulnerable road users
- Immediate roadside suspension or impoundment
- Summons, appeal, reopening, or motion issues that need licensed representation
